Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine UNPAD

The Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Department of the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD was founded on 30 April 2005 based on the decree of the Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran no.831/JO6/Kep/KP/2005. The department program was in line with Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi which would provided the rapid growth of cardiovascular which would be applied in the education program, research and social responsibilities in Cardiology and Vascular.

In June 2005 there was a memorandum of understanding between Cardiology Department and Vascular Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia and the Cardiology Department and Vascular Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD no.26/PT02.FK.31/SK/2005 and 01/JO6.FK.47/SK/2005 on 3 June 2005 to guide and develop the education program of Cardiology specialist doctors and Vascular Diseases.

On 18 February 2006 the Collegium of Indonesian Cardiology has determined the Cardiology Department and Vascular Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD as the centre of Cardiovascular education for category II/under the decree of Indonesian Collegium for the Cardiovascular no 004/Kolegium/SK/AKR/II/2006)

Now the Cardiology and Vascular Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD has become an independent Cardiovascular Study Centre under the decree of General Director of Higher Education, National Department of Education no 4671/D/T/2008 on 31 December 2008
