Abstract.
Backgraund and Objective: Cardiovascular disease remains one contributor to morbidity and mortality in the developed world. Increased arterial stiffness has been shown to correlate with coronary risk factors.
The aim of this study was to define corelation between aortic augmentation index (AI) with coronary angiography view.
Subject and Methods: This study recruited 50 subject (52 male and 8 female) with mean age 57,9 year old whose came to catheterization laboratory Hasan Sadikin General Hospital for coronary angiography study. We measured AI from analized aortic pulse wave and analized coronary angiography view. Aumentation Index was defined as AP expressed as a percentage of PP. Coronary angiography was performed and images of the coronary tree were obtained in routine standardized projections. We used multinomial analized regression and Chi square to investigated the relation between AI and coronary angiography view .
Result: There was no significantly relation between AI and coronary angiography view (p > 0,05).
Conclussion: There was no relation between aortic stiffness and coronary angiography view.
